What will happen after shoplifting?

about 3 years ago i got caught for shoplifting baby bottles an was giving an adult cautioning as it was a first offence but yesterday i done it again in a different store for some meat for dinner dont ask why i done it again i should have learnt from the first time but anyway was caught and was seen on camera doing it once a week or so before so guards were called was arrested cooperated fully got photo and fingerprints taken admitted doing it both times and was giving a court date for 2 weeks later then left and was told that it would prob be just a fine i will get so what i was wondering is what will happen in court will it just be a fine since it will be first time in my life before a judge and i was thinking of going on my own will i need to bring a solicitor with me as at the moment i cant afford one with been out of work and having a family of 2 kids to support and will it be in the newspapers.
