Is there anything remotely interesting to do on Emerald Isle, NC?

Every year my parents drag me down to Emerald Isle to stay in a cramped condominium with up to 7 other relatives. Normally I just suck it up since we're rarely there longer than 4 days, but this year my parents want to stay the entire week, and I can't even rely on having the internet to keep me company since the wifi where we stay is pretty shoddy. I'm not a beach person as it is and the shopping in the area (that I've seen) consists almost entirely of 12 Wings stores and a Walgreens. Does anyone know of any interesting stores or restaurants or even museums that maybe I've just overlooked? PLEASE HELP! Thanks!
